How does training work?
New Hunter Business run an average of five-seven courses every six months according to the demand.
Face to Face courses takes place with participants attending in class training four days per week over a period of five weeks.
Flexible courses are predominantly self driven, participants are required to attend in class training 1 day per week over 7 weeks with additional one-on-one sessions.
Training is held at various locations in Newcastle and the Hunter Valley areas. New Hunter Business is very mindful of costs associated with travel these days, so we try very hard to locate the courses in areas which are convenient to the course participants.
What will I get out of NEIS training?
One of the key outcomes of NEIS training is a Cert IV in New Small Business or Cert III in Micro Business Operations . This is a nationally recognised and fully accredited qualification. For a full list of course competencies click here
Contributing to the Cert IV in New Small Business is the development of the business plan specifically for your business. Participants also enjoyed a social and relaxed training atmosphere, where they are given the opportunity to learn with a diverse group of individuals.
Who will my Trainer be?
New Hunter Business Trainers are highly skilled with qualifications in Business Services, Marketing, Frontline Management, Sales, Human Resources and Management.
In addition, our Trainers have been delivering NEIS Training for many years and each have a detailed understanding of the initiative. Not only that, our Trainers are successful business owners themselves with plenty of sage wisdom to share with you as you begin your journey into the business world.
Trainer details can be found in our Staff Directory page
We provide clean, safe, well appointed facilities at all our training locations. All our rooms are air conditioned and complimentary refreshments are available for the use of all students.
Recognition of Prior Learning
We strongly discourage participants from requesting recognition of prior learning in the NEIS program. This is because we believe the positive interactions between participants is a major factor in the success of the program. However, it is available from the RTO but this may include additional costs not covered by New Hunter Business or the NEIS Program.
